Baby Bears

Baby Bears

Our baby bears room is built up of 12 children aged between 3 months – 2 years on a ratio of 1 adult to every 3 children.

With only 12 babies we are able to dedicate our attention to both the children and their families ensuring an easy transition into nursery life. Your little one will also have their own keyworker as point of contact whilst at nursery.

Sensory play is one of the main areas of development in a young baby so we provide a variety of sensory exploration for the children on a daily basis. A few examples of this are – cereal, super silk, porridge oats, rice, water and sand.

Whether it be learning to walk, furniture cruising or exploring different heights we provide a safe environment for this to happen. Our climbing frame is a big hit!

Communication can be challenging in young babies. Having Lisa, our sing and sign teacher with us on a Monday teaches us some simple baby signs that are really helpful.

The children go on daily visits to the zoo, including our tiny babies. We go either in the morning or afternoon, meaning your little one is likely to visit the zoo at least twice a week. We like to visit the Orangutans and explore the woodlands, where our older children can climb the tree trunks. Sometimes we even make a picnic and have our snack or tea watching the animals. We also love visiting Bahia, who is our adopted bear.
